Burst main sends water flowing through village
A burst water main sent water flowing through a Derbyshire village.
Homes in a number of areas in the county - along with some in Nottinghamshire - were left without water and low pressure following the incident on Saturday.
Vast quantities of water were seen flowing along Church Street in Fritchley, near Belper, from an affected pipe off Chadwick Nick Lane.
Severn Trent said properties in parts of Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire were affected but all supplies have now been restored.
A Severn Trent spokesperson said: "We're sorry to anyone who has experienced interruptions to their water supplies this morning, which was caused by a burst pipe.
"Our teams were quickly at the scene and all customers are now back on supply.
"Repairs are now under way and we want to reassure everyone it's our absolute priority to get everything back to normal as soon as we can and thank them for their patience."
