Search for man after burglary in crime-hit town

A CCTV image has been released of a man police want to talk to about a charity shop burglary.

The incident happened in Raunds, Northamptonshire, where retailers have been complaining about a spate of burglaries.

Cash was stolen from the Kindness Shop in Brook Street at about 05:00 BST on 17 August.

Northamptonshire Police said the man in the image "may have information relevant to their investigation".

The police have asked him or anyone who knows him to get in touch.

There have been 21 reports of burglaries in Raunds so far this year, more than double the figure for the whole of 2023.

Local MP Lee Barron has called for more visible policing.
