Union in talks with TfL ahead of Tube strikes
Talks have resumed between Transport for London (TfL) and the trade union Aslef in a bid to avert strike action and reach an agreement over working conditions.
Disruption is expected on London Underground services on Thursday 7 and Tuesday 12 November and passengers have been advised to plan before they travel on these dates.
The union has been calling for a four-day week for Tube drivers so their hours come into line with other UK operators.
Strike action planned by the trade union RMT for 1 November was called off following talks over pay with TfL.
BBC London's transport correspondent, Tom Edwards, said: "Aslef says it’s reasonably happy with the pay offer but it wants to discuss moving to a four-day week in line with other operators.
"At the moment the strike which will shut the Tube on Thursday 7 and Tuesday 12 November is very much on."
TfL's chief operating officer, Claire Mann has said they will "urge Aslef to also call off its planned action next week".
Those attending the Chelsea v Noah UEFA Conference League match at Stamford Bridge in Fulham should "plan ahead" before travelling, TfL has advised.
Singer JP Cooper has cancelled his "biggest UK gig" because his fans said the forthcoming Tube strike would mean they either miss the gig or wouldn't be able to get home.
