Keith Saunders, described by a judge as "very cruel", has been jailed for two-and-a-half years

A man who published sexual images of a woman on Facebook after burgling her home has been jailed for two-and-a-half years.

Keith Saunders, 36, of Cannon Street, Lincoln, spray-painted insults on the walls of the woman's home and stole a number of items on 5 February 2023.

On the same day, he uploaded sexual images of the woman to Facebook, Lincoln Crown Court heard.

Saunders admitted charges of burglary, disclosing sexual images and sending malicious communications over a 10-month period.

The woman explained she had been forced to move as she no longer felt safe.

Saunders ransacked the property while the woman was out, the court heard.

He stole her TV, perfume, mobile phone and bank card.

Prosecutor Noel Philo told the court insults were also spray-painted on the walls.

Saunders also admitted bombarding the woman with a series of threatening messages between February and December 2023.

'Cruel and vindictive'

These included threats to cause further criminal damage and the use of a shotgun, the court was told.

Tom Heath, mitigating for Saunders, said the burglary and sexual image offences occurred while Saunders was under the influence of alcohol and cocaine.

Passing sentence Recorder Graham Huston labelled Saunders "a very cruel and vindictive man".

He was jailed for 30 months and two weeks. A restraining order was also made which prevents him from having any contact with his victim.
