Man arrested over death in alleged hit and run

A man has been arrested in connection with an alleged hit and run that left a woman dead in Paisley on Hogmanay.
Elizabeth Kennedy, 70, was pronounced dead at the scene on the town's Barrhead road near the junction with Ladykirk Crescent at about 19:00 on 31 December.
The driver of a white car alleged to have been involved in the incident fled the area afterwards.
An 18-year-old man has been arrested over the incident.
He has been released pending further inquiries.
