Two in court after police officer injured
Two men have appeared in court after a police officer was injured during a pursuit of a car in Leeds.
West Yorkshire Police said the incident happened at around 13:15 GMT on Friday when a Seat Ibiza failed to stop for a roads policing unit.
A force spokesperson said officers chased the vehicle and stopped it a few minutes later on Selby Road, Leeds.
The police officer sustained non-life threatening injuries, the spokesperson said.
Paul Harper, 44, of Wickham Avenue in Boston Spa, pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, causing actual bodily harm, driving without insurance, and driving without a licence at Leeds Magistrates' Court on Monday.
Mr Harper was remanded in custody and is due to be sentenced at Leeds Crown Court on 24 June.
Paul Cameron, 44, of Edinburgh Road in Armley, pleaded not guilty to assaulting an emergency worker and was given conditional bail until his trial at the court on 8 November.
He admitted receiving stolen goods.
