Husband and wife who died in crash named by coroner
A couple who died in a crash have been named by a coroner.
Peter and Kathleen Darby, both 69 and from Scoulton, Norfolk, died when the Renault Kadjar Mr Darby was driving collided with a Range Rover on the B1108 Watton Road in Bodney on 14 January.
Both were pronounced dead at the scene while the driver of the Range Rover, a man in his 70s, was taken Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge with serious injuries.
On Wednesday, at the opening of their inquests at Norfolk Coroners' Court, area coroner, Samantha Goward said a full inquest would take place on 15 August.
Following the crash, Mr and Ms Darby's bodies were identified by their daughter, Denise, the court heard.
Mr Darby was born in Upminster, London and was a carpenter, while Ms Darby was a retired tutor born in March, Cambridgeshire.
Both died from injuries as a result of a road traffic collision, a pathologist told the court.
