Two-vehicle crash closes Devon road

A two-vehicle crash temporarily closed a road in Devon on Wednesday evening, police said.

Devon & Cornwall Police said officers were called out after reports of a crash on the A386 near Yelverton at about 17:42 BST.

Insp Adele Pritchard said the people involved had reportedly suffered minor injuries.

"Both drivers were given medical advice at the scene and a man has been taken to Derriford Hospital to be checked over," she said.

Stagecoach South West said all its services were "heavily delayed" by the road closure, although it has now reopened.
