Pub burgled by 'the most stupid thieves about'
A pub landlord has criticised "the most stupid thieves about" after money was stolen during a break-in at his premises.
Four masked raiders broke into The Three Colts, in Buckhurst Hill, Essex, on Saturday morning.
Posting on X, landlord Adam Brooks said they caused £1,500 in damage before making off with between £200 and £300 in cash.
Essex Police said its investigation into the burglary in Princes Road was ongoing.
The burglars stole three tills while wearing gloves, the force added.
Mr Brooks, a political commentator who appears regularly on GB News, praised the "fantastic" police response and urged anyone with information to contact officers.
"The idiots have caused more damage, and value in the till equipment, than what they might of got in coins in the till draws," he wrote online.
"These are the most stupid thieves about, someone must have a name."
Mr Brooks said the break-in was a "hard one to swallow" after an arsonist torched the building three years ago.
"These minor break-ins hit me in the pocket, it’s the damage to window, the ripped out till systems, this game is hard enough," he added on X.
