An artist whose work was pinned to Taylor Swift's cleaning cart which transported her on stage during her tour says she is "completely stoked" by the recognition.

Rachel Rasmussen from Cardiff thinks the star or her team must have bought the print when the singer performed in Cardiff last June as part of the Eras Tour.

In a post celebrating the end of her world tour, Taylor Swift is pictured in the cart with the print - showing Cardiff Bay - pinned to the wall beside her.

"Any souvenir that she could have taken from Wales and she took a piece of my artwork. That's good enough for me," the 40-year-old said.

"It's been a bit crazy. I've had shed loads of orders of this print that I hardly ever sell," the mother-of-four added.

Ms Rasmussen said had no idea Taylor Swift had a copy of the print painted in 2017, which depicts Cardiff Bay at night in a bright colour palette of purples, blues and yellows, until it popped up on the star's Instagram account overnight.

"I thought it was a joke. I thought somebody had just copied and pasted it," she said.

"I've had emails, I've had lots of people on Instagram, people in America I know messaging," she said.

"It's nice, a Welsh artist getting a bit of recognition."

The record-breaking US artist made the Principality Stadium shimmer in June in a single-date concert, wowing fans with her Eras Tour setlist for more than three hours.

From greeting her fans in Welsh to crowd-pleasing surprise songs, she made the land of song fall in love with her.

The Eras Tour kicked off in Arizona in March 2023 and the star played the closing show in Vancouver in Canada last Sunday.

Taylor Swift posted a series of images reminiscing about the tour last night, with the caption "It was rare. I was there. I remember it" - a reference to her hit song All Too Well.

Ms Rasmussen, who is originally from Tenby, said that as an artist, it can be a struggle to promote and market herself.

"So anything like this that has a little bit of exposure, I'm completely grateful for it," she said.

"Being a mother of four - and my car has just literally died. It's just a lovely little boost for me," Ms Rasmussen said.
