Arrest after girl injured in alleged hit and run

Police investigating an alleged hit-and-run which left a teenager with serious injuries after being hit by a motorcycle have made an arrest.

Avon and Somerset Police said a 17-year-old boy had been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and failing to stop after the incident in the Bradley Stoke area of Bristol.

The victim, who remains in hospital, is said to have significant but non life-threatening injuries.

Police have asked any witnesses to the incident, which happened near the Willowbrook Shopping Centre at about 16:45 GMT on Thursday 20 March.
