Two horses and a foal have been stolen from a paddock in Hartley near New Ash Green.

Kent Police said the theft was thought to have happened overnight between 17:30 on Thursday and 07:00 GMT on Friday.

The animals were stolen from a location near Church Road, after fencing was damaged to gain entry, and are thought to have been led through fields onto Ask Road before being loaded into a horsebox outside the Royal Oak pub, said police.

Two of the horses are white and one has a very long mane. The third is a brown foal, with a white stripe on her face.

CCTV footage from separate locations has been gathered by officers and is being analysed.

They appealed for anyone with additional doorbell or other security camera footage which might help the investigation to contact them.
