Christmas tree festival returns for third year
Whittle ProductionsA town's parish church is set to celebrate its third annual Christmas tree festival.
All Saints' Church in Leamington Spa will host a display of 60 decorated trees between 7 and 15 December.
The festival attracts more than 3,000 visitors "keen to experience some Christmas joy", according to organisers.
The 5ft (1.5m) tall trees, supplied by Smith’s Garden Centre in Baginton, are all sponsored by local businesses and not-for-profit community organisations.
Organisers said entry to this year's festival would be £2, with entrance free for those under 18.
The event will open with a free Christmas workshop where people can create various festive decorations to be displayed on two large community trees.
A raffle taking place throughout the festival will raise funds for Warwick-based charity Molly Ollys, which supports children with life-limiting illnesses.
Rachel Ollenshaw from the charity said: “Molly Ollys are delighted to be the festival charity as it gives us an opportunity to tell people about the vital work we do.
"Come and visit our stall and sparkling tree and take part in our special raffle which is raising funds for our charity.”
