The Northern Lights put on a spectacular display over these rapeseed fields in Dorset.
The Aurora Borealis was spotted over Boyatt Wood, Eastleigh

The Northern Lights have put on colourful displays in the night sky across the South.

Spectacular images were taken by across Oxfordshire, Hampshire and Dorset on Wednesday as the lights, also known as Aurora Borealis, appeared between 22:00 and 23:00 BST.

It was second night in a row the Aurora Borealis appeared in the UK's skies with solar activity reported on Tuesday in Scotland.

Lancaster University's Aurora Watch UK website had put out a "red alert" for activity across the country on Wednesday night.
