The Island Voices project compiles stories from residents of islands participating in the 2025 Island Games.

A project aiming to showcase the different communities due to participate in the next Island Games is being offered supported by Guernsey Arts.

Guernsey Arts ran the Island Games Cultural Programme for the 2023 games which were held in the bailiwick.

It has given its support to the Island Voices project for the 2025 games due to be held in Orkney.

Individuals from all 24 participating islands are being invited to submit their writing to produce a book to be given to athletes and volunteers at the games.

Emma Gee, an arts officer for the Orkney Islands Council, said: "We have been so well supported by the team at Guernsey Arts as they passed the baton onto us."

Islanders can submit and view their writings on the Orkney Museums website.

The deadline for original submissions is Monday 26 May.
