Woman killed after car strikes pedestrians in Dublin hit and run

It happened near Blanchardstown Shopping Centre at about 17:45 local time

A woman in her 30s has been killed after a car struck four pedestrians in a hit-and-run incident in Dublin.

A man in his 30s was also seriously injured and has been taken to hospital.

It happened near Blanchardstown Shopping Centre at about 17:45 local time.

Gardaí (Irish police) have closed the Blanchardstown Road.

They said the driver failed to remain at the scene and has yet to come forward.

They appealed for information.
