Man due in court following violent protest
A 57-year-old man is due in court later after he was charged by detectives for his role in a city centre protest which turned volatile.
Wayne Murray, of Winterbourne, was charged with violent disorder on Wednesday night and will appear at Bristol Magistrates' Court later.
The unrest occurred when hundreds of far-right protesters and a counter-protest group gathered for two demonstrations near Castle Park in Bristol on 3 August.
A total of 45 people have been arrested, with another 32 charged. A further 16 people have received custodial sentences.
A number of demonstrations took place across England after high tensions over the killing of three young girls in Southport, Merseyside, on 29 July.
