Arrests and weapons seized during police operation

Four people were arrested and eight weapons were seized during a multi-agency day of action in a town.
The operation took place in Saxmundham, Suffolk, on Friday with the aim of clamping down on illegal working and promoting crime prevention.
The Halesworth Community Policing Team were assisted by a number of other agencies, and targeted patrols and business visits were carried out.
Insp Liz Casey said "some serious offences" were detected that "contribute to harm within the local community".

During the operation, more than 600g of suspected Class B drugs were also seized.
Of the four people arrested, three were on suspicion of facilitating travel of another person with a view to exploitation. All three men have now been bailed until 9 May.
One female was safeguarded by Home Office Immigration officers.
One other person was arrested on suspicion of supplying Class B drugs and possession of an offensive weapon in private. The man has been bailed until 14 April.
"This was a really positive day of action for all the agencies involved, with some serious offences detected and a significant amount of drugs and weapons taken off of our streets," Insp Casey said.
"All of these offences contribute to harm within the local community, and they must be taken seriously."
