Christmas display at Wollaton Hall cancelled
An annual Christmas lights display at Wollaton Hall in Nottingham has been cancelled.
The event, Christmas at Wollaton, had been running in the city since 2020, becoming a popular festive activity in the East Midlands.
Nottingham City Council said the event organisers "have regretfully made this decision following a difficult operating year due to inclement weather conditions resulting in cancellations".
The authority said the event is planned to return in 2025.
The light trail has been hosted at Wollaton Hall every year since 2020, with last year's edition visited by celebrity guest Donny Osmond, who turned on the lights.
About 400,000 visitors have attended the event in four years, the city council said.
On the difficulties faced this year by the event organisers, the council said: "They will be working hard to reinvigorate the event in a way that overcomes these hurdles in future years."
