Family tributes to 'selfless' mother
A family has paid tribute to a "selfless" and "inspirational mother" who died following a crash.
Janet Susan Finch, 66, from Hullbridge in Essex, was in the car with two children in South Woodham Ferrers at about 16:00 BST on 13 August when the vehicle was involved in a crash with a lorry.
Essex Police said: "A 41-year-old man, the driver of the lorry, has been arrested and has been released under investigation whilst we continue our enquiries."
In a tribute to Ms Finch, her family said: "Janet was a kind person who lived her life selflessly, putting the needs of others before her own."
Her family described her as “a truly remarkable, strong, independent soul, who was sadly taken from her friends and family on 13 August.
“She was a loving caring partner, a solid, inspirational mother and gentle nurturing grandmother."
Her family said Ms Finch had a "vast community of friends who she loved and who loved her.
“You were taken from us all far too early, yet your memory will live on in us all for years to come.
"Rest in peace, Mum.”
An Essex Police spokesperson has urged anyone with dashcam footage of the crash on the A132 Burnham Road to come forward if they have any information that could help detectives with their inquiries.
