A number of events will take place on Saturday for people to attend and celebrate the official start of summer.

From picnics to entertainment, there are plenty of activities to attend across East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.

The summer solstice is the longest day of the year and will take place at 03.42 BST in the UK this year when the sun is at its highest position in the sky.

For many it is a spiritual celebration and this year it falls on 21 June.
