More than 400 cannabis plants found growing on farm
An illegal crop of cannabis was discovered growing on a Leicestershire farm by police.
Officers from the Market Harborough and Lutterworth beat team grow found the grow inside a disused farm building in Walton, near Lutterworth, on Tuesday.
More than 400 plants were recovered from inside, said PC Steve Winn.
He added that National Grid also attended the scene to isolate the power.
A network of grow lamps and wires had been strung across the ceilings inside the building, alongside other systems, to help the grass grow.
The plants have an estimated street value of more than £300,000, according to Allen Morgan, an expert in cannabis production legal cases.
The investigation into the factory was ongoing, said Leicestershire Police, and no arrests have been made.
