Man bailed over death of assaulted man in tent

A man arrested on suspicion of murder, following the death of another man in a tent who was assaulted, has been released on police bail.
The deceased man, aged in his 40s and from Bournemouth, was found in the tent in a wooded area off Holes Bay Road, Poole, shortly before 08:15 BST on 3 April.
Dorset Police said inquiries had established the man was assaulted on Chapel Lane, Poole, the day before at about 13:15.
The force said the arrested 19-year-old man, from Poole, had been bailed while further inquiries continued.
An investigation to establish the full circumstances of the man's death, led by detectives from Dorset Police's Major Crime Team (MCIT), is ongoing.
Officers are looking for anyone who witnessed an altercation on Chapel Lane or Dear Hay Lane between 13:00 - 13:30 on 2 April to come forward.
They would also like to speak to any drivers with dashcam footage from the area of Sterte Road, Sterte Close and Holes Bay Road, between 15:15 and 16:15 on the same day, to establish the victim's movements.
The force said the man's death was currently being treated as unexplained.
His next of kin have been informed and the coroner notified.
