Fire crews work overnight tackling blaze at farm

Firefighters have spent the night tackling a blaze at a farm building near Fraserburgh in Aberdeenshire.

Six appliances were called to Philorth Farm at about 16:20 on Monday.

Local residents were told to keep their windows closed due to smoke in the area.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "At its height, Operations Control mobilised six fire appliances and specialist resources to the scene, where firefighters are currently working to extinguish the fire affecting a farm building."

The spokesperson added: "As a precaution, local residents are being asked to close windows and doors if they are affected by smoke.

"Crews remain in attendance."

There have been no reported casualties.
