The changes will affect early morning and late evening journeys

Rail passengers have been warned of timetable changes to Hull Trains services due to strike action.

There will be short-term changes to early morning and late evening journeys on Fridays and Saturdays in March and April, the company said.

The amendments come as a result of strike action by the union Aslef following allegations that a driver was sacked after raising a safety concerns - a claim the company denies.

A spokesperson for Hull Trains said a "near full timetable will continue to operate" and other services are "planned to operate as normal".

"Any changes will be communicated to our customers in advance and this is not expected to cause significant disruption to most journeys," the spokesperson added.

The 07:27 GMT service from London King's Cross on Fridays and Saturdays will not run and the 19:09 train from Hull on Fridays will not operate.

Members of Aslef are due to walk out on every Friday between 7 March and 25 April, and every Saturday between 8 March and 26 April.
