Defibrillator and medicine stolen from dentists

A man has been arrested after equipment and medicines were stolen from a dentists.

The break-in at the Old Market Dental Practice in Sturminster Newton, Dorset, occurred between 17:30 BST on Tuesday 15 October and 08:15 the next morning.

Dorset Police said various items, including a defibrillator and prescription medication, were allegedly stolen.

A local man in his 30s has been arrested on suspicion of burglary and released on police bail whilst the investigation continues, the force said.

Sgt Mia Jakeman, of Dorset Police, encouraged members of the public not to purchase medication that had not been prescribed by a doctor.

"Any members of the public offered such prescription medicines are urged to report it to police,” she said.

She also urged any locals residents and businesses to review any CCTV footage from the time of the reported robbery.
