Project relaunched to improve access to cycling

A Guernsey not-for-profit has relaunched its accessible outdoor cycling sessions.
The sessions, run by Wheels for You, will begin again on 27 April, having previously run in April last year.
They will be held at Les Beaucamps High School and the public are invited to the launch event on 27 April from 09:30 until 12:00 BST, project organisers said.
Caroline Barby, one of the project's organisers, said the aim of the sessions was to make cycling accessible for people unable to ride or access traditional, two-wheeled bicycles.
She added: "People of all ages and abilities attend our sessions, enabling them to experience the joy of cycling, along with its associated health benefits, in a safe and inclusive environment."
The accessible cycling hub offers the use of a variety of adapted tricycles and bicycles, Wheels for You said.
It added there would be some bikes available to be used, and people could also bring their own.
"There will be a safe off-road area to practise, and we'd encourage anyone who would benefit from practising riding in a straight line, making tight turns and controlling their speed in a safe, traffic-free environment, to come along," said Amy Woollaston-Winn, active travel officer at the Health Improvement Commission.
