A man who was carrying a knife and threatened a member of the public has been given a suspended prison sentence.

Humberside Police was called to Kingswood Retail Park, Hull, at about 16:00 GMT on 16 February.

Jamie Jones, 32, of Ashworthy Close, Hull, admitted possession of a bladed article in a public place and using threatening behaviour with intent to cause fear.

He was handed a 12-month suspended prison sentence when he appeared at Hull Magistrates' Court on Monday.
