Consultation begins on controlled parking zones
Getty ImagesResidents in the Crawley area have been invited to share their views on proposed controlled parking zones.
West Sussex County Council plans to introduce restrictions in parts of Pound Hill and Three Bridges to "help better parking, ease congestion and improve accessibility".
The council said current parking arrangements have led to "concerns about congestion and accessibility", with commuter parking often "reducing available spaces for residents".
The consultation, which runs until 1 December, marks a "chance for residents to help shape a solution that supports local needs", according to council officials.
A spokesperson said: "Controlled parking zones are a key tool in managing parking demand and reducing congestion, helping to create safer and more accessible neighbourhoods."
A letter outlining the proposals has been delivered to all residents in and around streets where the zones are proposed.
Plans can be viewed online and at Crawley Library.
