Man and teen in court over town stabbing

A proposed trial date has been set for a man and a teenage boy charged with attempted murder following a stabbing.
A 29-year-old man needed emergency surgery after the alleged attack in Monarch Road in Northampton on 5 February.
A 19-year-old man, who was also charged with possessing a bladed article, and a 17-year-old boy appeared via video link at Northampton Crown Court.
A provisional trial date was set for 28 July and both defendants were remanded in custody.
They have not yet entered pleas to the charges and are both due in court again on 2 May.
