Arrests made after string of cyclist assaults
Three teenage boys have been arrested in connection with a series of assaults on cyclists earlier this month.
Detectives at Avon and Somerset Police have identified 13 incidents in Bristol involving 'two or three riders on one moped pushing or trying to push cyclists off their bike'.
Incidents were reported in the south and east of the city but the majority took place on the Feeder Road and one alleged sexual assault taking place in nearby Netham Park.
In a statement, police said: "Two boys aged 16 and 14 were arrested last week and are on police bail while the investigation continues, a 15-year-old boy arrested earlier this week is also on police bail."
All incidents happened between Tuesday December 3 and Saturday December 7 with no new reports being made since then.
Most victims escaped with cuts and bruises but one man who was pushed off his bike on the Feeder Road suffered a broken collar bone and a woman has fractures to her fingers.
The arrests have been made as part of an ongoing investigation and the police believe that all the assaults are linked.
Police have asked anyone with information to contact them.
