Snow Patrol has been announced as the latest act performing at a series of forest concerts next summer.

Forestry England announced on Friday that the Northern Irish band, best known for their 2006 hit Chasing Cars, will play at Westonbirt Arboretum in Gloucestershire on 17 June 2025.

"We're incredibly excited to add Snow Patrol to our line-up. The band released their UK Number One album The Forest Is The Path this year, so they are perfectly matched to play here with us," Rhodri Jones, national events programme manager at Forestry England said.

They are just one headliner for the Forest Live 2025 events, which will take place at four forest venues across England.

Other headliners include Sting, The Script, Elbow, Blossoms, James, and Rag'N'Bone Man.

Snow Patrol, made up of Gary Lightbody, Nathan Connolly, and Johnny McDaid, was formed in Dundee in 1994.

The band's major-label debut album, Final Straw, was released in 2003, and went five-times platinum.

Forest Live 2025 will also take place at Cannock Chase Forest, Delamere Forest and High Lodge, Thetford Forest.

Forestry England manage 1,500 forests and woodlands across the country and the money raised from the shows goes towards their conservation work.

"Forest Live is presented in the heart of our nation's forests and raises vital funds for the work that we do to preserve and maintain these natural areas for everyone to enjoy," said Mr Jones.

In 2023, Forestry England planted 7.4 million trees, with more than two million people attending the Forest Live gigs over the past 23 years.

Tickets for Forest Live 2025 will go on sale at 10:00 GMT on Friday 15 November.
