Man denies causing death of three teens in crash
An 18-year-old man has denied causing the death by careless driving of three teenagers who were killed in a crash on their way home from school.
Edward Spencer, 18, from Newbold on Stour, appeared at Warwick Crown Court on Friday and will now stand trial at the same court on 17 March.
He also pleaded not guilty to three counts of causing serious injury by careless or inconsiderate driving.
Harry Purcell, 17, Matilda "Tilly" Seccombe, 16, and Frank Wormald, 16, died in the crash in April 2023 and two younger children in another car suffered "life-changing" injuries.
Mr Spencer was the driver of a Ford Fiesta carrying the three teenagers, which was involved in a crash with a Fiat 500 on the B4035 Campden Road near Shipston-on-Stour, Warwickshire Police said.
The children in the Fiat were aged 10 and 12 at the time and were travelling with their stepmother and a fourth teenager, who were also hurt.
