A car travelling at 101mph (162km/h) on a dual carriageway was stopped by police.

Beds, Cambs and Herts Road Policing Unit caught the driver on the A505 in Baldock, Hertfordshire, on Saturday afternoon.

The force described the road as “a high casualty route” and said the driver was “very dismissive of the police being so proactive in enforcing excess speeds”.

A police spokesperson said the driver was reported, and they were “likely to receive a disqualification”.
