A building in Derby was evacuated and three people taken to hospital after ammonia leaked from a refrigeration unit, it has been confirmed.

Emergency services were called to a commercial building in Princes Street, Normanton, at 08:50 GMT on Sunday.

Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service said the "leak was isolated" and there was "no impact" to the surrounding area, adding 24 people were checked at the scene with three taken to hospital as a precaution.

The fire service said the incident was brought to a "safe conclusion" and had been referred to the UK Health Security Agency.
