Kiosk at bus station offered free to charities

Charities can use the former visitor information kiosk near the bus station to spread their message free of charge, the States of Guernsey has announced.
It follows a "positive response" when the Royal British Legion had temporary use of the kiosk in St Peter Port for a fortnight in February.
The government decided to let registered charities book the space for up to six months at a time.
It asked for expressions of interest in January and the States property unit "received a lot of interest" from charities as well as other organisations, a spokesperson said.
The Royal British Legion said its two-week takeover of the kiosk was a good opportunity to talk to islanders about welfare support for veterans and talk to the public about its work.
Local charities can apply to use the space by contacting the States property unit.
