Ram-raid cash machine found left in pick-up van

Suspected thieves have abandoned a pick-up van and cash machine in the middle of a village road.

Police were called about reports of a ram-raid at the Co-op branch in Great Shelford, Cambridgeshire, at about 04:00 GMT.

Officers discovered a white Mitsubishi L200 in Grange Road, near Duxford, which was believed to have been used in the ram-raid.

The road has been closed to preserve evidence and no arrests have yet been made, but police are appealing for anyone with information to get in touch.
