Two men have been arrested following disorder in Aston, Birmingham

A second arrest has been made after a gun was fired and a man stabbed during disorder in Birmingham.

A 19-year-old man was detained on suspicion of assisting an offender after the incident at the junction of Witton Road and Endicott Road in Aston at about 19:45 BST on Saturday.

A 21-year-old man also remained under arrest on suspicion of violent disorder, West Midlands Police said.

The latter was detained after he went to hospital to be treated for stab wounds, which police described as "not serious".

“We know such incidents can be concerning and our teams are carrying out high visibility patrols in the area to offer reassurance as inquiries continue,” a police spokesperson added.
