Train services have been affected after a lorry hit a bridge in Norfolk.

It happened at North Walsham at about 07: 40 BST .

Operator Greater Anglia tweeted to say "the 07:14 Sheringham to Norwich was terminated at Gunton" and that the train would no longer call at North Walsham, Worstead, Hoveton and Wroxham, Salhouse and Norwich.

"This is due to a vehicle striking a bridge," it said.

Network Rail said the bridge, next to North Walsham's railway station, was inspected and no damage was found.

They said they were working with the train operator to bring services back to timetable.

A spokesman from Starlings Transport, whose lorry hit the bridge, said the driver was uninjured and the incident was being investigated.
