Road closed after pedestrian hit by lorry

A pedestrian has been hit by a lorry in a "serious collision", police said.

Officers said they were called to the crash in Buxton Road in Ashbourne, Derbyshire, at about 12:15 GMT on Wednesday.

St John Street was closed at the junction with the A515 for much of the afternoon, but has since reopened.

No further information has been provided by police.
