Man dies after lorry hits pedestrian

A man in his 50s has died after a lorry hit a pedestrian.

Surrey Police said they were called just before 02:00 GMT on Saturday, following a collision on the A316 in Sunbury-on-Thames.

Officers said the man died at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.

No arrests have been made but enquiries were continuing, the force said.

Police urged witnesses or anyone with relevant CCTV or dashcam footage to get in touch.
