Learner caught twice driving at more than 110mph
A learner driver was caught speeding four times in 12 days, reaching speeds of more than 110mph on two occasions.
Damiloa Isreal Agbaje, of Foleshill Road, Coventry, was caught going 115mph and 111mph, while driving a white Mercedes on the M6 near Coventry with just a provisional licence, magistrates were told.
Agbaje was also captured driving at 71mph and 68mph, in a 50mph zone on the A45 in Ryton-on-Dunsmore, Warwickshire, during the same period.
The 30-year-old was summonsed to appear at Leamington Spa Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, where he admitted the speeding offences, committed between 7 and 19 April this year.
Agbaje was fined £400 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £160. He was also disqualified from driving for 18 months and given 24 points on his licence.
Warwickshire Police lead prosecutor Hannah Smith described him as an inexperienced driver who had "no respect for the laws of the road".
She said his disqualification was important both for his safety and the safety of other road users.
