Man charged after motorcyclist killed in crash

A man has been charged in connection with a fatal crash in Edinburgh.

A Kawasaki KLE650 motorbike and a car were in collision on the A90 Queensferry Road, near Parkgrove Street, in Edinburgh at about 23:15 on Tuesday.

The 61-year-old motorbike rider was pronounced dead by emergency services at the scene.

A 31-year-old man has now been arrested and charged in connection with the crash.

Police Scotland said inquiries were continuing and appealed for information.

Sgt Paul Ewing, of Police Scotland, said: "We would like to thank the public for their assistance with our investigation and our thoughts remain with the family of the man who died."
