A Nottinghamshire football club has held an open-top bus parade for three youth teams who won a trio of trophies.

Toton Tigers saw both their under-9 and under-13 boys teams win the YEL cup in the 2023-24 season, while their under-18s topped their league.

To celebrate, the team organised a bus tour, travelling through the village on Thursday.

Under-9s coach, Ella Woodley, said the club's achievements were "incredible".

The youngest group won the prize in their first competitive season as a team.

Blake, the team's left winger, said the group had played so well because they "work as a team".

"The coaches have been amazing, they support us really well," he said.

Players and coaches rode on the bus while wearing the club's distinctive orange colours.

Ms Woodley, who has been coaching the team since they were six, said she hoped the players "always remember" the parade.

"The kids have been absolutely fantastic," she said.

"To see their smiling faces and the way they've gone about it is incredible.

"We're not the biggest club in our area but we've gone all out to celebrate these kids and the young adults that are here as well.

"Three trophies for a club of our size is incredible.

"The open-top bus is something they probably won't ever do again - I hope for all their sakes that they do."
