Driver arrested after motorcyclist injured in crash

A driver has been arrested after a crash left a motorcyclist seriously injured.

At about 12:40 BST on Sunday, a silver Vauxhall Astra estate and a blue and silver Kawasaki motorcycle collided on the east-bound A14 near Fenstanton, in Cambridgeshire.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 50s from Leicester, was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital with serious injuries.

The Astra driver, a 43-year-old man from Kimbolton, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and driving while unfit through drugs.

He has been released on bail. Cambridgeshire Police has appealed for witnesses.
