Three further arrests after man killed in stabbing

Three more people have been arrested after a man died following a stabbing in a village.

The victim, who was found injured in Station Road, Netley, shortly before 18:30 GMT on Wednesday, died at the scene, Hampshire & Isle of Wight Police said.

An 18-year-old man from Netley and an 18-year-old man from Eastleigh were arrested on suspicion of murder on Friday, the force said.

Meanwhile, a 36-year-old woman from Southampton has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, possession with intent to supply a class B drug and possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.

This follows the arrest of an 18-year-old man from Southampton on suspicion of murder on Thursday.

A 15-year-old boy from Netley who was also arrested has since been released with no further action planned against him.

A police cordon was in place in Station Road, near the entrance to the recreational ground after the man was found.

Hampshire & Isle of Wight Police is appealing for witnesses and anyone with dashcam, doorbell camera, mobile phone, or any other CCTV footage to come forward.
