Man in 80s dies following crash in high street

A man in his 80s has died after a single-vehicle crash on a Surrey high street, police have said.

A blue Volkswagen Polo hit a wall in Cranleigh at about 16:15 GMT on 23 March, said Surrey Police.

The force said both the driver, a woman in her 80s, and the passenger, a man in his 80s, were taken to hospital.

The man died from his injuries and the woman remains in hospital, police added.
