A 25-year-old woman who died when she was hit by a car in West Sussex has been named.

Dominyka Jonikaite was struck by a grey BMW 3 Series in London Road outside the Crawley Leisure Park shortly after 20:30 BST on Saturday, according to Sussex Police.

Her 12-year-old sister and their cousin, a 19-year-old woman, were "seriously injured" and taken to hospital.

A 33-year-old man, from Crawley, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, two counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, and driving while unfit through drugs.

Sussex Police said he had been released from custody on conditional bail until 13 July.

The force has urged anyone who saw what happened or captured any relevant footage to contact them.

A GoFundMe page for the family has raised more than £9,000.

Lakiem Khan, its organiser, wrote: "This has left a devastating impact on the family who are struggling to come to terms with sudden loss and injuries of their baby girls."
