Appeal after boy, 12, injured in woodland assault

An appeal has been launched after a 12-year-old boy was assaulted in a wooded area in West Yorkshire.
The child was walking through land off Burnley Road in Warley at about 19:30 BST on 8 April when he was targeted, police said.
The boy was approached by two people, one wearing a balaclava, with the victim punched in the face.
He suffered facial injuries in the attack, West Yorkshire Police said, with anyone with information asked to contact the force.
The attacker wearing the balaclava, believed to be a teenager, was described as an Asian male, about 5ft 10in (1.78m) tall and of slim build with wide shoulders.
He was also wearing all black clothing and black Nike gloves.
