Snow Patrol and James to headline summer festival

Snow Patrol, James and Pendulum have been announced as the first headline acts for a summer festival in Plymouth.

Plymouth Summer Sessions 2025, run by the firm Live Nation, will take place on the Hoe from 12 to 15 June.

Organisers said tickets would go on sale on 15 November, adding that more names were still to be announced.

Peter Taylor, co-Founder of event promoters Cuffe and Taylor, said: "We couldn’t be more excited to bring Plymouth Summer Sessions back after such a fantastic first year."

Sir Tom Jones, Sting, Bryan Adams and Madness headlined the first summer sessions event last year.

“The response from fans was incredible, and it’s clear how much people love live music in this iconic setting," Mr Taylor said.

"With James, Pendulum, and Snow Patrol headlining, we’re looking forward to a weekend that truly offers something for everyone."

Speaking to BBC Radio Devon, Live Nation festival booker, Brett James, said he was "very, very happy" with the line up.

When asked how organisers decide on headline acts, Mr James said they wanted to offer something different each night.

"A little bit is decided on artist availability," he said.

"It's more of a case of having something different every night so everybody is catered for."

Mr James said one more headliner is yet to be announced.

British band James, supported by Razorlight, will kick off the festival on Thursday with fan favourites including "Sit Down", organisers said.

Australian electronic rock band Pendulum will perform on Friday, and Snow Patrol will close the festival on Sunday.
